DARREN HICKS, MEMBER
Darren Hicks enlisted in the navy after graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1997 to pursue his goal of becoming a U.S. Navy SEAL. Darren went through BUD/s (SEAL Training) class 216 and upon graduating was stationed at Seal Team One in Coronado CA. Darren completed multiple overseas deployments during his career. Shortly after 9/11 Darren deployed to Afghanistan multiple times to conduct combat operations as Squadron Point Man/Sniper in support of JSOC and Operation Enduring Freedom. Darren also served at NSWC as a Sniper Instructor and Lead Weapons Instructor for 3rd Phase BUD/s, where he taught and managed all combat shooting evolutions for all SEAL trainees.
After nine years of service, Darren made the difficult career decision to transition out of the SEAL Teams in 2006 to begin his business career. Darren joined the Technology Staffing and Consulting company his father founded in 1979, Hicks Professional Group www.hickspro.com. Darren has served as the President of HicksPro since 2009. HicksPro has grown in the past four years to a national Professional Services company with over 100 employees working in nine different states. Darren now spends much of his time running the “Veteran Hiring Program” line of business he started in 2013, which helps HicksPro’s clients hire veterans to strengthen their culture and add to their bottom line. The HicksPro team has successfully built their culture and processes by modeling what has worked for 60+ years in the SEAL Teams.
